The Rifle or Carbine Rifles or Carbines, (which are just shorter and lighter than a full size rifle) firing an intermediate cartridge like the 556/223 are becoming more and more common as the primarily home defense weapon of choice. A rifle when compared to a pistol or shotgun is more accurate, light weight, fires a very effective/powerful bullet, has low recoil can hold a significant amount of rounds in the magazine. Being able to fire multiple rounds at the same target with accuracy and precision is not as challenging as a pistol or shotgun. #homedefense #AR15
