Volunteering outside of work helps remind me that serving others is what we are called to do. And when I choose to be available to do that, it amazingly fills a restless void, and many times gives me more joy than closing a deal. I help and serve on my church's Safety Team where we train to help with anything from putting on band aides, welcoming guests, medical emergencies, and God forbid an active shooter. Our church is hosting an event this year that will give an outline and reasons why Church's need to have a plan and ministry in place to protect and address the needs of their congregation.
